The Hawkins Brew is a Single Origin that we roast in honor of Lt. William Hawkins USMC. Hawkins was born in Fort Scott, KS and served as a sniper platoon commander in the Battle of Tarawa in WWII. Product Information
This coffee originates from the Cauca region in central-western Colombia, stretching from the Western Cordillera mountain range to the Pacific Ocean. The brisk ocean winds and elevation make this one of the coolest regions in the country.
Farmer Alvaro Andres Roldan picks these Castillo coffee cherries at peak ripeness, when they turn to a deep, dark purple.
This fascinating single origin has boozy acidity and sweetness with flavors of cooked cranberry and clove.
